DCO Monthly Catalogues for both hard-copy newspaper in-store & online. Catalogue production is on a strict deadline with catalogues required to go to print on time. Catalogue production goes through several checks, reviews and approvals from several teams within DCO to ensure all ads within the catalogue are correct. My role as part of the Marketing team in catalogue production is to create, update, re-create artwork where required, setup the fragrance pages, Informationals & share the load of created new front cover artworks each month. All Monthly catalogues are created in InDesign whilst also using Illustrator & Photoshop to create or amend artworks for suppliers.
Each month within the DCO Monthly catalogues, there is a section dedicated to health informationals. These informationals are designed to provide different health information topics to the public by way of text & infographics. The infographics are used to help the public better understand the related topic.
DCO Newspaper Adverts advertised through the Bellarine & Geelong Times Local Newspapers. These adverts were created using Adobe InDesign & Adobe Illustrator.
Each month as part of the monthly catalogue production, social media tiles & web banners are designed. The design is based off the catalogue themes with the freedom to express some creativity to enhance the display to catch the users attention. The artwork is created using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop.
In between catalogue production & digital brief work is our LAM (Local Area Marketing) jobs. These are tasks requested from our DCO stores for the purpose of creating marketing material to use in stores. These range from posters, banners, flags, stickers, A-frames, vinyl banners & more. Using Adobe Indesign, Illustrator & Photoshop to create designs requested by the stores.
Over selected months, DCO selects some of its major brand Catalogues to feature in Ooh! Media Static Adverts that are displayed within selected shopping centres Australia wide. Below are some examples of ads previously on display. The artwork uses Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop to bring the artwork to life.
Within each store Australia wide & many Shopping Centres within close proximity to all Direct Chemist Outlet Stores is Digital Screen adverts. My role within DCO was to bring each of our monthly catalogues to life by creating digital videos & adds to be used across all stores & shopping centres.
The Real Media Awards celebrates efficacy and excellence across innovative media campaigns in Australia, embracing the value and timelessness of our great industry, its minds and creativity. I’ve been nominated this year as part of the top 100 designers within Australia for the award of “Best Emerging Graphic Designer 2024” in the 2024 Real Media Awards which celebrates the excellence across innovative media campaigns in Australia.
